Sally & Dan’s Wedding 13th May 2012

East Horton Golf Club

An early start today to meet Sally at her parent’s home for a part one of the preparations. After hair and makeup Sally was leaving for Marwell Hotel for the final preparations and dressing.  A little before she arrived with had met up with Dan and the guys for a few photos before they left for East Horton Golf Club.

As soon as Sally was dressed she left the bridesmaids in the room for their final preparations. We ventured with her just outside onto the landing where a skylight was providing some beautiful soft natural light for some fabulous bridal portraits before heading off to the golf club. The guests started to arrive and the bridesmaids soon after. Sally arrived with her Dad, she looked stunning but now a little nervous.

The ceremony was personalised with a couple of readings and a poem ‘The story of Sally and Dan’ which portrayed their journey to this point, so there’s bound to be a sequel. The ceremony was followed by a drinks reception and family photos before we headed off on golf buggies around the course stopping off at a few view points and avoiding a few golf balls!

We delivered the couple back to their guests for a final photo of everyone just before the wedding breakfast.

We wish Sally and Dan a very long and happy life together and look forward to seeing them when they return from honeymoon. In the meantime we hope you enjoy these few images from their day.

All of the photos from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Sally and Dan. Jenni & James’ Wedding 12th May 2012

St Johns Church Broadstone and Culeaze Manor, Bere Regis

This was a wedding that we were really looking forward to, Jenni and James were so excited about their wedding when we first met and they are just such a lovely couple that we were really pleased that they chose us to be their photographers.

There were some huge challenges in the lead up to the wedding, Jenni had emergency spinal surgery 5 weeks before the big day and was told at one point that she may not walk again. Jenni with her positive attitude and with the support of James and her family and friends was up and walking soon after her operation, she then had to face the fact that she may have to walk down the aisle on crutches. However, she was determined that wasn’t going to happen! Needless to say the day was very emotional.

The weather was another challenge during the week of the wedding with persistent rain which hindered some of the preparations in the marquee but with everyone pulling together all was perfect as the big day arrived.

We arrived to find a very excited Jenni and with finishing touches to hair and makeup she was keen to get into her dress. Being ready ahead of time allowed for some stunning  bridal portraits.

We met James at the church looking so smart in his uniform along with the Best Man and Ushers, the church was filling up and the arrival of the red bus signalled that the bridesmaids had arrived and that Jenni wouldn’t be far behind.

The padre conducted a ceremony that the congregation will never forget, it was very personal and humourous in parts, he even opened a can of lager which he passed to James! With the formalities complete the newly married left the church to a shower of confetti and made their way to Culeaze Manor after a few family photographs.

Jenni and James enjoyed the afternoon sunshine around the grounds stopping off for some photos of just the two of them and later joined by the bridal party. A photo of everyone in the sunken garden was followed by the Pie’n'Mash wedding breakfast.

We wish Jenni and James all the very best for their future together and hope that it is full of love and laughter.

We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Jenni and James. Annabel & Simon’s Wedding 1st May 2012

Saint Edwards Church and Mortons House Hotel Corfe Castle

As we moved from April into May we were hoping like everyone else that we had left the April showers behind, but the forecasts were still full of gloom and doom, May was going to be the coldest it had been for 100 years and that the rain would continue. it certainly looked that way as we headed off for the lovely Mortons House Hotel in Corfe Castle where Annabel and Simon were getting ready for their wedding at St Edwards Church and reception at Mortons House.

As the morning progressed the sky started to clear and the sun emerged providing a glorious day. Annabel and Simon had wanted their guests to join them in the castle grounds after the ceremony for champagne while they had their photos taken around the ruins and right up until the day this had looked doubtful. Everything was turning out to be quite amazing, the weather, the locations, stunning Bride in a gorgeous gown and a  handsome Groom.

As the guests sipped their champagne we walked to the top of the ruins with the bridal party and gradually made our way down with the couple stopping off at a few different locations. As they rejoined their guests everyone made their way back to Mortons House for drinks and canapes and the last rays of sunshine before the wedding breakfast.

The evening entertainment The Drat Pack provided a lively first set after the Bride and Groom’s first dance which wowed everyone.

We wish Annabel and Simon all the very best for their future together and thank them for their kind hospitality.

We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Annabel and Simon. Joanne & Marcus 21st April 2012

Wimborne Minster & The Royal Bath Hotel Bournemouth

April has certainly been the month of showers, we had our fingers crossed for Joanne and Marcus that their wedding wouldn’t be interrupted by them. The rehearsal for the wedding was the night before the wedding and as we made our way there the was a hail storm which almost looked like snow on the ground! We like to attend rehearsal as we get the chance to meet other members of the family and bridal party.

The wedding day arrived and we made our way to Joanne’s parents home for the preparations. Joanne was out at the hairdresser and everything was laid out for us as planned in one room so that we were able to get on. Joanne and her Mum returned home with just make-up to do and shortly afterwards her Mum was helping her into her stunning wedding dress from Special Occasions. As everyone else was finishing their preparations we had some time alone with Joanne for some bridal portraits which was followed by photos with the family and bridesmaids. We left for the church allowing Joanne time for those last-minute tweaks and some time with those close to her.

Time flies on a wedding day and after capturing the grooms arrival and photos with his Ushers and family it was time for Joanne’s arrival. She looked stunning and after a few moments was ready to walk up the aisle to meet Marcus who was nervously waiting for her.

The ceremony was personalised with a couple of readings and with the vows made, rings exchanged and registers signed the newly married couple made their way back down the aisle to the church door. During the service there had been a quick shower but for now it was a little breezy and chilly. The group photos were taken quickly and the confetti thrown before the couple left for the beach.

Joanne and Marcus had wanted to go to the beach for their photos but as it was cold and windy we all agreed to go for just a couple of beach shots. However we arrived to find it totally different to the weather in Wimborne, the sun was shining and it felt quite warm and made use of this time to get some great shots.

Joanne and Marcus rejoined their guests at the Royal Bath Hotel for the wedding celebrations and we stayed to cover the speeches and first dance. A bonus was a beautiful sunset which the couple had been hoping for. Someone special was up there looking down on them making sure that everything was just as they hoped for.

We wish Joanne and Marcus all the very best for their future together and look forward to seeing them again when they return from honeymoon. We would also like to thank everyone for their hospitality.

We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Joanne and Marcus. Helen & Audey’s Wedding 10th April 2012

Audey was at the venue, The Branksome Beach, when we arrived making sure that everything was as he and Helen had planned. A small canopy had been erected on the terrace as the weather was looking a little unsettled, the weather had improved a lot compared to the previous day when it was really windy and wet but not enough to be confident that the April showers wouldn’t interrupt the ceremony.

Helen arrived early, she was that early that she was there before the registrars and guests so she had to hide away for a while! The guests arrived and just as the ceremony was about to commence it started to rain so we waited a few moments for it to pass. As the rain eased the guests took their seats and Helen made her entrance with a big smile even though she was sheltering under an umbrella.

With the vows made and rings exchanged the newly married couple had a few family photos and a celebratory drink with the guests.

With the weather looking unsettled and a little breezy we popped over to the gardens opposite the restaurant with the couple where it was a little sheltered for some photos of just the two of them. Helen had really wanted photos on the beach so she braved it for a while, the wind was quite cold and we returned to the restaurant and finished off there with a few photos of the table layout and an amazing and unusual wedding cake designed by Sweet Serenity to look like a beach hut.

We wish Helen and Audey all the happiness for their future together. We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Helen and Audey. Rosie & Ben’s Wedding 7th April 2012

We started today’s wedding with meeting the Groom, Bestmen and Ushers at St Mary’s Church, Sturminster Marshall. They arrived early to make sure that everything was in order before the guests started to arrive. The church looked amazing with lots of spring flowers.

Rosie had returned to the village for her wedding and to the church where she as a young girl used to ring the church bells for weddings. Today it was her wedding  and her Dad would be helping to ring the bells.

Rosie had planned to walk to church with her parents, sister and bridesmaids providing that the weather was fine and luckily it held out for her to do this. At the church door a few final touches, a deep breath and a few tears of happiness Rosie was ready for the ceremony to start.

The service was personalised with readings and a prayer from some special guests and the hymns were sung enthusiastically by the congregation.

The newly married couple left the church to the ring of church bells and while a few family photos were taken at the church door the guests were served with champagne and homemade cakes.

The reception was held in a marquee in the village within walking distance of the church. After a photo of Rosie and Ben with all their guests they were showered with confetti as they made their entrance into the marquee. The weather had been kind to the newly married couple and just as everyone had gone into the marquee it started to rain.

The wedding breakfast was followed by the speeches and then the traditional cutting of the cake. The couple then took to the dance floor  for their first dance. With the formalities over the barn dance started. The caller managed to pack the floor and everyone seemed to be having such a great time.

We wish Rosie and Ben all the very best for their future together and we look forward to seeing them again soon when they return from honeymoon.

We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Rosie and Ben. Karly and Dan’s Wedding 2nd April 2012

The Sandbanks Hotel was the venue for Karly and Dan’s wedding, the perfect beach hotel for a wedding by the sea. After a long spell of good weather today it was supposed to have changed but we seem to have our own micro climate here on the Dorset coast. where we had a blue sky and some spring sunshine.

Our midweek package is proving to be very popular.  Karly and Dan wanted coverage of the arrivals, ceremony, some family/friends photos and a few of them on the beach which fits in perfectly with our offer.

The ceremony was conducted by a family friend after which drinks were served on the terrace in the glorious midday sunshine. While the guests enjoyed this we went down onto the beach for a few Bride and Groom photos before returning to their guests and the wedding breakfast.

We wish Karly and Dan all the very best for their future together.

We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day are available to view online. Visit the client area on our website, click on Karly and Dan’s album and enter the password provided.

Amy and Alex’s Wedding 19th March 2012

We were delighted to be the wedding photographers at the wedding of Amy and Alex. We have known Alex, his brother Joe and their parents Phil and Helen for many years as they are our next door neighbours.

Amy and Alex had chosen the Miramar Hotel for their ceremony and celebrations.

As we travelled over to Amy’s parents home where she was getting ready the sun was shining and it truly felt like spring was finally here.

We arrived to find the preparations well under way and everything was going to plan. Amy’s parents Trudy and Malcolm, were very welcoming and had everything under control. Their team effort in helping Amy get ready was second to none. A call in the midst of the preparations was to let Amy know that the wedding was going to take place in the garden of the Miramar Hotel. With such amazing weather for March a fantastic opportunity to be outside.

We left Amy and her bridesmaids with some time to relax and for those final touches to meet Alex and his bestman  Joe at the hotel for a few family photographs and to capture the guest arrivals.

Amy arrived in style and was escorted by her Dad along the red carpet to Alex who was nervously waiting for her. With their vows made, rings exchanged and registers signed the couple made their way down into the lower garden for their drinks reception.

With everyone enjoying the sunshine the family and friends photos were taken before Amy and Alex slipped away with us to the beach. As we arrived at the sea a grey cloud appeared blocking out the sun and it turned quite chilly so we didn’t stay for long and returned to the hotel to finish off in the gardens.

We wish Amy and Alex all the very best for their future together and look forward to seeing them again soon We would like to thank everyone for their hospitality

We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Amy and Alex. Lisa & Joe’s Wedding 25th February 2012

The Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth was the venue for the wedding of Lisa and Joe.

We started today’s wedding photography with the groom’s arrival with his best man followed by a few family photographs, we left Joe to greet the guests while we went up to meet Lisa.

Lisa was making a few final adjustments with her bridesmaids waiting for the call to say that it was time for her to make her way down to the ceremony. While we waited we made use of the hotel landing just outside the room where we found some subtle lighting for a few bridal portraits. Lisa looked stunning in her beautiful dress from Special Occasions.

The time at this point just flies and before you know it the ceremony is over and the newly married couple were heading out of the ceremony room for the reception drinks. The weather was mild, a little cloudy but quite warm for February so most of the guests headed out into the sunshine by the pool area where the family photographs were taken.

We left the guests enjoying the warm sunshine and slipped away towards the beach with the Bride and Groom for some portraits, unfortunately the beach lift was closed so rather than take the long walk down the zig zag path we used the rockery with the sea in the background and an area just opposite the hotel.

Back at the hotel we made use of the hotel for a few more photographs while the guests were invited in for the wedding breakfast. The speeches took place before the meal which we covered before we made our farewells.

We wish Lisa and Joe all the happiness for their future together. We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Lisa and Joe. If you would like to visit the client area on our website, click on Lisa and Joe’s album, enter the password provided you can leave your email address and we will notify you when the images are available to view.
