We started the day with bridal preparations. Elke the family hairdresser was busy styling Hayley’s hair so we found the dresses, shoes and all the accessories upstairs all laid out in one room making it nice and easy for us.
Becky the make-up artist arrived followed soon after by the flowers, it’s amazing how quickly the time goes during the preparations and very soon it was time for Hayley to be getting into her dress.
The weather was fine so after a few bridal portraits in the lounge we ventured out into the garden before leaving Hayley for a little ‘chill’ time while we went off to meet the guys at the church.
Liam, his best man and ushers were all at the church, suited, booted and with their buttonholes on looking really smart. With their photography done and a few family photos we left them to greet the guests.
The service was conducted by Rev Nick Wood, a really welcoming minister, who made the ceremony feel very relaxed, friendly and personal. Liam and Hayley left the church to glorious sunshine and the guests showered them in confetti.
The wedding party made their way to Parley Manor, the reception venue, to await the arrival of the newly married couple. Their arrival was greeted with cheers and clapping. Hayley had seen a heart shaped photo that we had previously done at Parley Manor and with the co-operation of her guests we were able to do this quite quickly before the reception drink was served.
With the formal group photos over we were able to spend some time with the bridal party in the walled garden before being left alone with the happy couple. It was a joy to work with Hayley and Liam who are so well suited and very natural with each other. Their joy at being together as husband and wife was so apparent throughout the day.
The guests were invited through to the wedding breakfast and the new ‘Mr and Mrs’ were announced in. Delicious food from the barbeque was served followed by some rather scrumptious desserts and then the speeches.
We had a few more moments with the couple and as the sun started to go down and with the evening guests arriving the couple returned to the marquee for their evening reception.
We wish Hayley and Liam all the very best for their future together.
