We arrived to find the girls’ hair and makeup well under way. Kate made a superb job of the make-up, she is so professional and such a lovely lady and one of our brides from a couple of years ago. Sam arrived to do Ebony’s hair which looked amazing and completed her look. The preparations were ahead of time and Ebony was keen to get into her dress.
We always say that you can never be too early on your wedding day, it allows us to get some really special photos and no bride should be stressing on her wedding day because of time.
Ebony and her bridesmaids were enjoying every moment and had cracked open a bottle of champagne to start the celebrations.
With the bridal preparations complete we headed off to meet the guys at The Orchid Hotel. Dave and his Groomsmen looked so smart in their matching suits. Despite a slight threat of rain earlier the sun was beginning to break through and the ceremony was going to take place outside in the Courtyard.
The guests were now arriving and starting to take their seats and Ebony was taking a short walk from The Woodcroft across the road to meet Dave at The Orchid.
The Bride was ready to make her entrance, she looked stunning and the Bridesmaids all looked fantastic in their sunshine yellow dresses.Ebony followed her bridesmaids down to meet Dave to the lovely singing of Naomi Mulroy.
After the ceremony the guests joined Ebony and Dave for a few group and family photos before showering them with confetti , wow, we don’t think that we’ve ever seen so much confetti!
As the guests enjoyed their drinks and were entertained by Claire Manners (saxophonist) we disappeared with the Bridal party down to the beach, it was a little breezy but well worth it.
As we returned to the hotel, the barbecue charcoals were hotting up and the Best Men were warming up to do the traditional embarrass the Groom speech. Dave survived and dinner was served.
Ray Weedon the toastmaster had been invaluable throughout the day, ensuring that everyone knew what to do and when.
A short break before the evening got under way with the first dance. I don’t remember the dance floor ever having any space on it, it was packed with some real party people determined to have a good time. Some dressing up props made for some good laughs (and Photos), we could tell that the celebrations were going to last well into the night.
We wish Ebony and Dave all the very best for their future together. We look forward to seeing them again and in the meantime we home you enjoy this small selection from their special day.
