Melissa & Steve’s Wedding 4th June 2011

Melissa and Steve had chosen to get married at The King’s Hotel in Christchurch, a new wedding venue for this year.

Melissa, her Mum and Bridesmaids were getting ready at the hotel. there was a lot of activity when we arrived with hair and make-up which Tracy and Jess were doing superbly. The windows were wide open and fans blowing trying to keep everyone cool, it was going to be an exceptionally hot day.

We photographed the dress, shoes, flowers and accessories before meeting the guys at the pub leaving the girls to continue with their preparations. With a few informal photos at the pub I returned to Melissa who was now getting into her dress and Dave stayed with the guys at the pub who were now preparing to leave for the venue.

Melissa looked absolutely amazing in her dress from Daisy Bridal and the bridesmaids looked stunning in their short purple dresses, a popular colour for this year. Dave joined me with Melissa for some stunning bridal portraits before the ceremony.

Once the ceremony was over the guests joined the newly married couple by the ruins across the road  from the hotel for the drinks reception and the formal family and friends photos.

We then took some time away with the couple and the bridal party for their special photos before returning them to their guests for the wedding breakfast. while we were away Paul the a caricature artist was amusing the guests

In the evening the guests were entertained with Viva Las Vegas casino and Big Night Out Disco and to everyone’s surprise a fantastic first dance performed by Melissa and Steve.

We would like to thank everyone for their hospitality.

We wish Melissa and Steve all the very best for their future together and hope that they are having a fantastic honeymoon and we look forward to seeing them on their return.
