St Katharine’s Church in Southbourne was the venue for Kim and Malcolm’s wedding ceremony. The day was bright, dry and quite chilly and for a time there was a beautiful blue sky.
The heating had been on in the church for a while providing a warm reception for the guests. Malcolm had arrived a little ahead of the guests with his Best man and ushers to make the final preparations and of course for a few arrival shots.
The bridesmaids arrived and to keep warm stayed in the car until Kim arrived. After a few photographs Kim was ready to make her entrance and short walk accompanied by her brother who was giving her away up the aisle to meet Malcolm.
With the ceremony complete and the registers signed Malcolm and Kim made their way down the aisle. The newly married couple and the bridal party stepped at the church door for a few photos and a quick decision was made to return inside the church for the group photos as it was so cold.
With the family photos completed Kim and Malcolm returned to the church door and made their exit to a shower of confetti. The warm car was waiting to take them to their reception venue, The East Close Hotel, Christchurch.
The guests arrived to a drinks reception and while everyone congratulated the newly married couple we photographed the wedding breakfast room and took some informal photographs of the guests.
Kim and Malcolm braved a few moments outside for some photos of just the two of them before we finished off a few more requested photos before the wedding breakfast.
We wish Kim and Malcolm all the very best for their future together.
