Zoe & Gwayne’s Wedding 3rd June 2012

Ceremony and reception Location: The RNLI College Poole

We met Zoe and Gwayne last year when we photographed Gwayne’s sister Astra’s wedding to Andrew and it was nice to see some familiar faces.

An early start today for everyone. Zoe and Gwayne had chosen to have an early ceremony so that they could make the most of their special day.

The morning’s preparations all went to plan.We were able to photograph the dress, accessories, do some bridal portraits and family photographs all before leaving to meet the guys at the RNLI. Zoe looked stunning in her beautiful gown.

At the RNLI the guys were waiting suited, booted and with their buttonholes ready for a few photos before the guests started to arrive

Zoe arrived traditionally a little behind the Bridesmaids as Gwayne was disappearing off to see the registrar. The young page boys joined the bridal party at this point and with a few arrival shots captured the Registrar was ready to see Zoe who was by now a little nervous.

The ceremony was personalised with a couple of readings and with the formalities over the new Mr & Mrs left the ceremony area for a drinks reception in the courtyard while a few family photographs were taken.

A routemaster bus was waiting to take everyone down to Poole Quay to meet a waiting boat for a trip around Brownsea Island. We were having our own jubilee boat trip with the union flag flying. We even found some of Zoe’s friends dressed in red and blue which complimented Zoe’s dress giving a red, white and blue theme! Everyone enjoyed the trip even though it was a little windy. Some people managed to stay up top throughout! With the bar open there was much fun and laughter and Zoe and Gwayne had lots of time to mingle with their guests giving us time for those more natural reportage photos that everyone loves.

The bus was waiting to take everyone back to the RNLI for a traditional English tea which looked amazing and plentiful, the speeches followed and then a little break before the evening’s entertainment for people to freshen up. During this time we slipped away with the couple to Upton House for some nice photographs of just the two of them. On our return we met up again with the Best man and Ushers for a couple of photos around the RNLI building.

The first dance was great and everyone then joined the couple on the dance floor and the party went on into the night with music from a DJ and the band Bullitt.

This wedding was so nicely paced with the Bride and Groom achieving all that they wanted to do and although they had to be up early it was worth it.

We would like to thank Zoe and Gwayne for their kind hospitality and the front of house staff at the RNLI for also showing some great hospitality.

We wish Zoe and Gwayne all the very best for their future together and we look forward to seeing them again. We are busy preparing their images from the day of which there are quite a few so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images from their day.

All of the photos from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Zoe and Gwayne. If you would like to visit the client area on our website, click on Zoe and Gwayne’s album, enter the password provided you can leave your email address and we will notify you when the images are available to view
