Ceremony at St Stephens, Pamphill
Reception at The RNLI College, Poole
Our day started at the church with St Stephens (also known by some as Kingston Lacy Church) being a favourite of ours. It was built with Purbeck stone and Studland sandstone which gives it a very striking look on the exterior. Oak from the Kingston Lacey estate was used for the woodwork inside the church. It is steeped with local history with the Bankes family and Kingston Lacy, well worth exploring.
Occasionally Bride’s don’t include Bridal preparations for different reasons so we start at the church by meeting the Groom and Groomsmen which we are happy to do.
Matt and the guys arrived looking really smart in their suits as did Freddie the young pageboy in his matching suit, and with a few last details to attend were ready for us. Izzy the young flower girl arrived and was a little shy so as she sat patiently waiting for the Bride to arrive we managed to capture some natural photos of her.
Victoria arrived hanging on to her veil as it was another blustery day, she looked stunning. Her dress from Chameleon in Pokesdown was just perfect for her.
The ceremony was personalised with a reading from Adam (Matt’s brother) who earlier I heard recalling memories of the church from when they were young boys. The church has a balcony where the organ use to be and we are able to photograph from it getting some overhead shots of the ceremony.
The newly married couple processed out of the church and as it was still blustery were followed by their guests to an area at the back of the church which was sheltered for a few family and group photos.
The plan was after the guests had left for the RNLI that we would stay behind in the church grounds for photos with the Bridal Party and the Bride and Groom, but at that point it started to rain. The decision was made to abandon this and go on to the RNLI which we did, just as well as it didn’t stop raining, sometimes we give it a few minutes to see if the rain passes.
The guests were happy at the RNLI having a drink so we used a few areas around the RNLI for some photos of Vicky & Matt. The couple was greeted as they returned to their guests with a round of applause.
We wish Vicky and Matt all the best for their future together and we look forward to seeing them again. We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images from their day.
