An early start for everyone today, we arrived at the Highcliff Marriott Hotel at 7.30am to capture Jenn’s preparations. Emma from Opus hair was busy with rollers and hair curling and Gemma from Clarins was applying eye make-up, lippy and so on, making the girls even more beautiful. As time moved on the flowers arrived from Parkwood florists and the girls were becoming more excited and we noticed the odd tear or two of pure happiness. Everyone was even more excited as the time approached for Jenn to get into her dress. She looked stunning and was causing a lot of oohs, aahs and tears amongst the bridesmaids and Mum’s. As we were leaving, the red routemaster bus arrived to take the guests to Milton Abbey this created even more excitement.
Over at Milton Abbey we met Matt and his Groomsmen for a few photos ahead of their final preparations at the Abbey. Everything was just perfect, the abbey looked grand, the sun was shining, the groom looked handsome, Jenn was stunning and everyone was happy and showing it with their smiles.
The wedding was a mixture of traditions from here at home and from Jenn’s homeland, Canada. The groomsmen accompanied the Groom and Best man at the front of the church and turned to watch Jenn’s entrance as did the bridesmaids who filed in singularly ahead of Jenn. All through the ceremony Jenn and Matt didn’t stop smiling, they are such a perfect match.
After the ceremony the guests greeted the couple with words of congratulations and kisses and with the family photos complete made their way to Parley Manor for the drinks reception while we had some time with the newly married couple in the abbey and around the grounds.
Back at Parley Manor the guests were enjoying drinks, the afternoon sunshine and the beautiful gardens. Jenn and Matt rejoined their guests before the wedding breakfast. The meal was enjoyed by all and then the speeches were separated into two sessions as there were more than we normally have with additional speakers, another Canadian influence. The speeches were all very sincere and reflected the love and influence that this couple have had on family and friends.
We enjoyed this wedding with the beautiful locations, lovely couple, friendly and happy guests. good wine and food and would like to take this opportunity and thanking everyone for their kind and generous hospitality.
