We arrived at Nikki’s family home to a hive of activity with hair and make-up underway and the air of excitement was building among the girls. Nikki’s Dad Martin was out on the driveway polishing the hot rod that he was going to be driving later to take Nikki to The Chine Hotel for her wedding.
The dresses, accessories and flowers from flowers at 166 were all ready for our arrival which we were able to photograph while we dipped in and out of the girls preparations, with everything running to time and Nikki ready and looking gorgeous we spent some time with her inside before going out into the garden.
Across town we found Mick and the guys at The Chine Hotel all ready for our arrival, after a few photos in the lower garden they went to see the registrar while we waited for the arrival of the Bride. The guests waited outside as Nikki and her Dad were going to do a drive past. As the car went by horns were sounded, a cheer went up and everyone waved. With a trip around the block Nikki’s arrival was then greeted to the sound of bagpipes.
The Bride was escorted by her Dad and Brother and was led up the aisle by the piper to Mick who was patiently waiting for her arrival. With the ceremony complete the newly married couple took a few moments for a photo with the car while the guests were led out into the hotel gardens for a drinks reception. The family photographs taken the guests could relax in the afternoon sunshine while the newly married couple had a few photos in the lower garden.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches some of the party headed off to the beach to enjoy the late evening sunshine and some even went for a paddle!!! With the light fading and the evening celebrations about to start we made our way back to the hotel.
The dress code for the evening party was fancy dress, most of the guests joined in and the effort that they went to was quite amazing! So with the cake cut and the couple first dance over it was time to party.
We would like to this opportunity to thank everyone for their hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. We enjoyed the day and shared quite a few laughs with everyone!
