Laura was getting ready at her family home in Broadstone. We arrived to find it calm and everything going to plan. While Laura was having her hair styled we photographed the dress and accessories and dipped in and out of hair and make-up. The bridesmaids were arriving one by one for finishing touches and as the time went on the excitement started to grow.
Laura was soon ready to get into her dress from Special Occasions and with the final touches to her hair and the veil put in she was looking amazing. it’s great when everything goes to plan and we can spend time with the bride for some portraits. We even had time to go out into the garden with Laura, bridesmaids and Laura parents.
At the Guildhall the Groom, Best man and guests were arriving and not far behind were the bridesmaids and Bride. The guests were ushered in before Laura’s car arrived to keep the tradition of no-one seeing the bride ahead of the ceremony. Laura made her grand entrance and Neal turned as she made her way towards him, both had beaming smiles.
The ceremony was personalised with one of our favourite readings ‘On your wedding day’ and then with vows made, rings exchanged, registers signed it was time for Laura and Neal to make their exit out into the glorious sunshine. As the guests joined them they had a royal like balcony wave and kiss before rejoining the guests at the bottom of the steps. With the photo of everyone done and the couple showered with confetti we made a quick get away to the beach.
The bridal party joined us on the beach for a few photos before we were left with just Laura and Neal. While we getting lovely photos of the Bride and Groom the guests were making their way to the hotel for the reception, that way they would be there to greet the newly married couple when they arrived for the drinks reception.
Back at the Chine Hotel Laura and Neal had some time with their guests before the family and formal photos. This was a very organised wedding with time allowed so it wasn’t rushed and with the co-operation of everyone even the group photos didn’t take long. We thank Laura’s and Neal’s parents and Liam the Best man for their help with this.
Laura and Neal were a delight to work with, such a lovely couple. We wish them all the very best for their future together.
