A lovely winter morning, a little cold but with some welcome winter sunshine and now and again that slight winter wind just to remind you that it is winter!
Rachel was very calm when we arrived and everything was going to plan, everyone was busy getting ready with the odd break for that sip of champagne.
All the girls helped Rachel into her dress which was beautiful and there was an atmosphere of happiness, everyone was smiling and complimenting Rachel. As Rachel stood holding her bouquet created by Maria from Simply Flower she looked such a stunning Bride.
At the church Will arrived with his Best man and Ushers and soon after the guests started to arrive and headed into church as the wind had quite a chill to it. The Bridesmaids arrived in “Lottie”, and Rachel accompanied by her Dad arrived in “Lulu” (camper vans from Dorset Dubhire).
With the ceremony complete Rachel and Will exited the church as Husband and Wife through a traditional sword arch. With the formal family photographs taken as quickly as possible to keep everyone from getting too cold and the confetti thrown we headed off for the beach with Rachel and Will while everyone else went on to the Sandbanks Hotel for the drinks reception.
Rachel and Will had really wanted a few shots on the beach and braved it for as long as they could and with a quick photo of them and the bridal party by the beach huts it was time to retreat to the hotel.
The couple was greeted at the Sandbanks Hotel, a fabulous venue for weddings and receptions by Sebastien with a welcome glass of champagne, they were glad for the warmth of the hotel and rejoined their guests for some social time before the wedding breakfast in the compass suite witch has a fantastic view across the sea to the Purbecks.
The unusual wedding cake which had a pork pie as the top-tier was cut with a sword after the main course and as the meal ended it was time for the speeches ahead of the evening disco supplied by Partydexx. The floor remained packed after the first dance, everyone was up for a good time and an evening of celebration and partying.
We wish Rachel and Will all the very best for their future together and would like to thank them for the hospitality and for choosing us to be their photographers. We enjoyed being part of their day, such a lovely couple.
We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images. All of the photos from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have finished editing and we have seen Rachel and Will.
