A wedding at St Andrew’s Church, Hamble and a reception at Marwell Hotel with a stop off at Marwell Zoo/House for Mimi & Ted.
We woke to a forecast which included just about every weather condition that you can think of and as we drove to Mimi’s parents’ home the wind and rain didn’t let up! As we arrived at the house the rain stopped and the wind subsided.
Mimi was calm and relaxed having her hair and makeup done when we arrived and Grace (Mimi and Ted’s daughter) was kept amused by Grandad. During the morning there was a call from Mimi’s sister who was in Australia which prompted a few tears but she got to see how everyone was looking and although she couldn’t be with them was part of it. Mimi’s nephew although on the other side of the world dressed for the occasion in a page-boy outfit, he looked so cute.
Rumour has it that Mimi is never on time but today she was on time for just about everything. She looked stunning in her wedding dress and her Mum’s veil complimented the dress perfectly along with Ted’s Mum’s tiara. Mimi looked stunning.
We met the guys at the church, they all looked fantastic and with a few photos of them we left them to greet the guests as they arrived.
Mimi arrived (on time) and processed up the long gravel path with her Dad to the church door where the bridesmaids were waiting and with some final tweaks was ready for the walk up the aisle to where Ted was waiting for her.
During the time that we were in church the weather turned bitterly cold so after the ceremony the formal photos were taken as quickly as possible and we headed off to Marwell Zoo for some location photography.
We didn’t have long before it started to rain and then to top it off the we got caught in a hail storm with the Bride and Groom, we were all huddled under the same umbrella under a cedar tree before making a dash into the house where we stayed for photos.
The planned journey back to Marwell Hotel was to stop off on the way to see the animals but with the rain we could only stop at the Giraffes who were quite curious with their visitors offering a congratulatory lick!!
The wedding breakfast was followed by some very sincere, emotional and funny speeches and with the formalities complete it was time to party. After the first dance our ‘Funtasia Fotobooth’ service went down a storm, such great fun.
We wish Mimi and Ted all the very best for their future together and we would like to thank everyone for their hospitality and making us feel very welcome.
We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images. All of the photos from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have finished editing and we have seen Mimi and Ted.
