A wedding at Canford School, Poole on a lovely Spring day in April for Hayley and Dan.
Hayley and Dan had their ceremony and reception at Canford School, a fantastic venue located on the banks of the river Stour near Wimborne. A venue with acres of grounds, great architecture and a fabulous carved walnut grand staircase.
The long spell of cold weather seemed to be continuing as we made our way out to Hayley’s parent’s home for the bridal preparations. As the morning progressed there were a few glimmers of sunshine, so it looked promising that it was going to warm up as the day went on.
As Hayley, the Bridesmaids and her Mum were preparing for the day ahead her Dad was ‘tweaking’ his speech keeping out-of-the-way in a house full of women.
Hayley was soon in her dress from Special Occasions, she looked gorgeous, loved the Swarovski necklace. After a few bridal portraits she was joined by the bridesmaids and parents before we left to meet Dan with his Best man and Ushers.
The guys arrived at Canford School about the same time as us and with a few last-minute adjustments and the buttonholes in place they were ready. As ever time flies and soon the guests were starting to arrive followed shortly after by the bridesmaids. Hayley arrived in style in a vintage car from Barnes who provide a great service.
Once everyone was ready Hayley accompanied by her Dad made her way up the aisle in the Long gallery to Dan who was nervously waiting for her.
A drinks reception and Canapes were served immediately after the ceremony during which we took the formal family photos. At the end the couple were showered with confetti before taking a drive out in the wedding car for some time alone.
The sun was shining and although it was still a little cold it had warmed up considerably compared to the last few days. So on the couples return and after a little social time we headed off around the grounds for some photos with the bridal party and then down to the riverbank with just the Bride and Groom, before returning them for the wedding breakfast.
It was great catching up with some wedding couples from previous years, Paula and Ryan, Tracey and Jody and Paul the Best man and Emma. We first met Dan when he was Best man for Paul, all such lovely couples.
The evening continued with a disco and band and we provided our ‘Funtasia Fotobooth‘ service which went down a storm!
We would like to thank Alison the wedding co-ordinator at Canford School and her staff for their help in making this a great day.
We wish Hayley and Dan all the very best for their future together and we would like to thank them for their hospitality. We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images.
