Carla and Tom’s Spring Wedding at St Christopher’s Winfrith Newburgh.
At last it seems as though Spring is here. The sun was shining, the sky was blue without a cloud in sight, the daffodils bursting and the birds busy building their nests, a perfect day for a wedding.
Carla and Tom were getting married at St Christopher’s, the village church of Winfrith Newburgh where Tom’s parents live.
We arrived at the house to find the girls in the finishing stages of hair and make-up. Carla was soon in her dress and ready for a few bridal portraits, she was then joined by her bridesmaids for a few photos before we left for the church to meet Tom.
The church looked beautiful decorated with flowers and wicker hearts and roses on the pew ends. Carla made her entrance on the arm of her Dad to Trumpet Voluntary played by a family member. The Revd Nicola Coleman conducted a lovely ceremony which was personalised with readings by the Mother of the Bride and the Groom’s Mother and Father.
With the ceremony complete the newly married couple led their guests out into the late afternoon sunshine. The couple were congratulated and showered with confetti before leaving in a weddingwagen camper van for a short trip and some time alone.
The guests made their way to the reception marquee for drinks and Carla and Tom returned to the church for Bride and Groom photos before joining their guests back at the marquee for the wedding breakfast.
We wish Carla and Tom all the very best for their future together. We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images.
