Wedding Photography at Parley Manor
It had rained overnight but the forecast was that the day would clear for a lovely afternoon although it would remain a little breezy. Almost perfect for Hayley and Stuart’s wedding.
The morning started with preparations at the home of Hayley’s parents. It was great to see Sam and Kate again (hair and make-up) from Parley Studio we knew that Hayley was going to look amazing.
With everything going to plan and everyone ready we were able to get some bridal portraits and go outside into the garden with Hayley, her Bridesmaids and parents. It was a little breezy as forecast keeping the temperature at a more comfortable level and that veil in the breeze had a mind of its own!
Stuart arrived in style with the guys over at Parley Manor in a ‘Lovely cars’ vintage Rolls Royce which had been a surprise from Hayley’s parents. The cars were then going to be a surprise for Hayley when they arrived at her parents house to collect her.
Hayley arrived at Parley Manor looking beautiful and with a few photos outside the house just as she was about to go in the veil made its get away!! It slipped out of her hair and took to the wind elevating itself up, up and over the roof, we all stood with our mouths wide open not quite knowing what to do! Some ran to the back of the house to try to capture it, Gwen the ‘veil tamer’ soon had it under control and brought it back.
So it was on with the ceremony which ran smoothly. Hayley and Stuart made their promises, exchanged rings and signed the register and then prepared for their grand exit along the red carpet. I knew that something was afoot from some rustling in the bushes and just as the newly married couple reached the end of the red carpet along came a waiter who slipped up right in front of them, he had them going they didn’t know what to do! It was only Manuel from Fawlty Towers! An unexpected surprise.
While the family and group photos were taken during the drinks reception Manuel entertained the guests and we slipped away with Hayley and Dan for some Bride and Groom portraits.
The marquee was beautifully decorated by Simply flowers . The guests made their way in after being greeted by the Bride and Groom and enjoyed Merlin’s fabulous barbequed food followed by a choice of delicious desserts. So then it was on to the speeches, The Bride’s Father introduced the first speaker Prince Charles, ‘Chaz’ an old family friend, unusual but very entertaining! So with the speeches off to a great start it was then on to the traditional speeches.
In the evening our ‘Funtasia Fotobooth’ went down a real treat, such a laugh and some of the dancing stars on the dance floor provided some great entertainment to ‘Gangnam Style’, ‘Apache/Jump on it’ (not sure what it’s called but the Best man knows it well!) and the rowing boat song – ‘Oops Upside Your Head’ with their individual moves!
We would like to thank Hayley and Stuart and their families for their hospitality. We wish Hayley and Stuart all the very best for their future together. We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images.
