Claire & Carl’s Wedding 26th April 2014

Claire and Carl’s Wedding at The Cumberland Hotel Bournemouth

Claire and Carl were joined by family and friends at the Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth for their wedding. Guests had travelled from near and far to celebrate this very special occasion with them.

We arrived to find the girls having their hair and make-up done and they were all in good spirits with lots of laughter and excitement for the day ahead.

Bridal Preparations

With the preparations complete, Claire was ready for some Bridal portraits, she looked amazing in her very elegant wedding dress . We left her with time to enjoy a ‘champagne lunch’ with the Bridesmaids and Mums.

We met Carl and the Guys in the hotel foyer. Although the day was quite bright there seemed to be a continual threat of rain and it was very windy, however we found a sheltered spot for a few photos with them. The guys were in good spirits and looking forward to the day’s celebrations.

Groom and Groomsmen Arrivals

The guests were invited to take their seats in the ceremony room, the Oceana Suite, to await the imminent arrival of the Bride and her Father. The bridesmaids entered the room ahead of Claire keeping Carl in suspense for that moment longer and as he saw his Bride for the first time  he greeted her with a big smile. The ceremony was conducted by Bournemouth Registrars who always manage to put everyone at ease and deliver a great personal ceremony. So with the formalities over it was time to celebrate with champagne.

The Ceremony

We were going to the beach with the Bride and Groom for their photos but the wind was by now quite strong and would have  made this quite unpleasant so it was decided to stay at the hotel. Cutting out the travelling to and from the beach made it less rushed and more time for champagne!

The Bride and Groom

The wedding breakfast was split with the starter and main course being served (delicious and plentiful) followed by the speeches with a few secrets and embarrassing moments shared, more champagne to toast the couple, the cutting of the cake and dessert.

The evening celebrations begun with the Bride and Groom taking to the floor for their first dance and then it was time to party!
