Dimpee & Duncan’s Wedding 16th May 2014

Dimpee and Duncan’s Wedding at The Guildhall Poole and the RNLI Poole

An early start today for the preparations of Dimpee and her Bridesmaids at the Hotel Du Vin in Poole. The sun was shining and it was warm, just what every Bride dreams of and as a boat trip around the harbour had been arranged for after the wedding it was most welcome.

It was great to see Sam and Kate from Parley Studio who once again made a fabulous job of hair and make-up. Dimpee’s Mum dressed each of the girls in their Sarees which were amazing, such detail and the colour was so vibrant. The flowers designed by Maria at Simply flowers were stunning, the colours were perfect for this splendid occasion.

Dimpee looked gorgeous in her beautiful wedding gown and didn’t seem at all nervous. So with some portraits of Dimpee, photos of the Bridesmaids and family taken we left for the short walk to the Guildhall to meet Duncan and his Best Man.

Duncan and his Best Man greeted the guests as they arrived and with a few arrival and family photos we got word that the Bride was on her way so Duncan made his way into the ceremony room to see the Registrars.

With the imminent arrival of the Bride we made our way down to meet the wedding party walking through the old town of Poole towards the Guildhall. The chattering and laughter filled the streets. It all felt so happy and alive.

The ceremony was full of emotion with tears and smiles of happiness and Dimpee’s sister read a lovely meaningful poem. The newly married couple joined their guests for a few photos before they all headed off towards the Quay for a trip on the Purbeck Princess from Greenslade Pleasure Boats. waiting to take them on a trip around the harbour.  We couldn’t resist a stop off at Paradise Street for a quick photo!

So with everyone aboard it was time for Champagne, Canapes and relaxing in the glorious afternoon sunshine taking in the views.
The boat was taking the guests to the RNLI College for the reception, we had to pass through the old lifting bridge and then the new Twin Sails bridge, which as it opened, formed a huge ‘kiss’ for the happy couple!

RNLI Wedding Photographer The Father of the Bride made a wonderful speech and had Dimpee, her Mother and her Sister in tears, a proud moment for them all.

The evening was still warm and while the band were setting up we had some time with Duncan and Dimpee. Then it was on to the first dance, WOW, absolutely fantastic, one of the best that we’ve seen. After which they were joined by some great movers and shakers!!!!!
