Emma & Tom’s Wedding at Wimborne Minster and The Sandbanks Hotel

Bournemouth Wedding Photographer – Wimborne Minster – Sandbanks Hotel – Emma and Tom

Although the weather forecast still wasn’t great we were hoping that we would be as lucky as we were yesterday and that the rain would stay away!

We arrived to find Emma, her Mum and Bridesmaids having their hair styled by the family stylist just a few doors away. The make up artist arrived for the final preparations before Emma made her way back to the house to be dressed by Exquisite Brides in her beautiful Caroline Castigliano gown. Meanwhile, Tom was getting ready at the Sandbanks Hotel with the Best man and Ushers after which he made his way over to Wimborne Minster with his family.

The Minster looked amazing with fabulous floral arrangements by Maria at Simply Flowers and with such a warm welcome from the Church we knew that this was going to be a lovely ceremony.

Emma arrived in style in “The Duchess” a Rolls Royce Phantom and it has to be stated that she was on time! The dresser from Exquisite Brides made the final finishing touches to the dress before Emma, who looked amazing, was escorted by her proud Father up the aisle to Tom.

The wedding ceremony was very touching and as the couple were pronounced ‘Husband and Wife’ they sealed their marriage with a (longer than usual) kiss, a couple not afraid to show their feelings for each other in front of others. With the register signed and the blessings made it was time for the newly married couple to make their way back down the aisle  and out into the afternoon sunshine to be joined by their guests for the formal family photographs and the confetti throw!

Emma and Tom were waved off by their guests as they left for the reception at the Sandbanks Hotel. Emma and Tom arrived at the hotel where the sun was shining and the sky was blue with some fluffy white clouds so it was off to the beach for photos while they waited for their guests to arrive for the drinks reception on the terrace overlooking the sea.

After a freshen up it was time for Emma and Tom to greet their guests into the wedding breakfast before being announced in the Brian the Toastmaster. Maria had moved the flowers from the Minster into the Compass Suite at the Sandbanks Hotel so the room was beautifully decorated. The cake made by Emma’s Mother looked amazing and it took pride of place next to the top table, shame it had to be cut! The guests enjoyed a fabulous view of Poole Bay and Old Harry rocks in the Compass Suite as well as the fabulous food and service provided by Sebastian and his team. As the wedding breakfast progressed the dark clouds started to roll in before the downpour that had been forecast over the last couple of days, it didn’t matter now!

After the speeches and time to freshen up it was time for the evening celebrations . The Alex Barton Band provided the evening’s entertainment which started with Emma and Tom’s first dance.

The rain had stopped and we were all hoping for a sunset to round off the day, we weren’t disappointed.

A big ‘thank-you’ goes out to the Best Man and Ushers who all carried out their duties diligently and were so helpful in making the day run smoothly.

We would like to thank Emma and Tom and their families for their hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed their wedding. We wish them all the very best for their future together.

We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you have enjoyed these images. The following link will take you directly to their online galleries within our client area. The images above are already there if you wish to view and purchase any of them. All of the photos from the day will be available to view there as well as soon as we have finished editing and Emma and Tom have had first look.
