Beth and Andrew’s Wedding at the Bartley Lodge Hotel, Cadnam, New Forest
Beth and Andrew had chosen the Bartley Lodge Hotel in the New Forest for their special day. The hotel has been a getaway location for the couple and as it was somewhere special for them it only seemed right that they should have their wedding and share this lovely country lodge with friends and family.
The night before the wedding had been very hot and there had been thundery scattered showers. Once again we were hoping that the Bride and Groom would escape the forecast showers and have a lovely day.
The Bridal preparations were relaxed as hair and make-up progressed. The flowers were delivered and it was time for a bottle of bubbly to be opened! We left the girls to their final preparations in search of the boys.
Andrew and his Groomsmen were ready and waiting for us for a few photos. Time flies by at this point and before you know it the registrars are ready to see the Groom and the Bride is on her way.
The ceremony was held in the wedgwood blue Crystal Room, a quartet played while the guests waited for the Bride to make her grand entrance into the ceremony. Beth looked stunning in her wedding dress and as she made her way up the aisle Andrew was keen for that first look at his beautiful Bride.
With the vows and promises made, rings exchanged and registers signed it was time for drinks in the garden. With everyone outside an overhead shot of everyone was taken. Then just as the drinks were served and we were about to start the formal family and group photos spots of rain were felt but rather than everyone take to inside we were all rather British and stuck it out, so glad we did as it didn’t come to anything and everyone remained outside.
The formal family photos were completed and after the confetti was thrown the drinks reception continued in the hotel gardens. Beth and Andrew left their guests for a short while for the Bride and Groom photos around the grounds.
The doors to the oak-panelled Baronial Hall had been closed so that the guests wouldn’t see the wedding breakfast room. Beth and Andrew had a preview and were delighted at how it looked. As the doors opened it revealed a magical scene, with chandeliers, candlelit bird-cages and tables, even the Post box was lit up, all creating a soft and romantic atmosphere.
After the speeches the room was prepared for the evening while the guests enjoyed coffee on the terrace. The band played their set after the couple’s first dance and our fun ‘Fotobooth’ service provided some laughs and entertainment and the hog roast was served.
We would like to thank Beth and Andrew and their families for their hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed their wedding. We wish them all the very best for their future together.
We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you have enjoyed these images. The following link will take you directly to their online galleries within our client area. The images above are already there if you wish to view and purchase any of them. All of the photos from the day will be available to view there as well as soon as we have finished editing and Beth and Andrew have had first look.
