Bournemouth Wedding Photographer – Parley Manor – Jodie & Richie’s Wedding

Jodie and Richie’s Wedding at Parley Manor, Bournemouth, Dorset

A great start to the day at Monroe hairdressing in Corfe Mullen. The Bride and her Bridesmaids arrived to Buck’s Fizz, fresh strawberries and a very friendly and vibrant team of stylists.

We left the girls to go onto Dudsbury where Jodie was to make her final preparations with makeup and dressing.

The final leg of the trip was to Parley Manor to meet Richie and the guys a little ahead of the guests arriving. The string quartet had set up, to and the registrars had arrived and the guests were now starting to gather and enjoying the beautiful lush gardens that Parley has become well-known for.

Jodie arrived in Lulu a VW camper van which had been organised as a surprise by Richie, very thoughtful, so with a few arrival shots and the meeting held with the registrars it was time for the ceremony to begin, love the long walk down from the Manor to the marquee, the anticipation of the Bride’s arrival with the Bridesmaids arriving first and that last deep breath of the Bride trying to calm her nerves, such a great build up!

After the wedding ceremony it was back up to the house for our signature heart-shaped group photo (now copied by just about every photographer in Dorset!) and a few photos with Lulu before she departed.

The drinks reception was welcomed by everyone as by now it was really hot and most of the guests headed for the shade under the trees while we slipped away with the newly married couple for some photos around the beautiful gardens.

The wedding breakfast a seasonal favourite was a summer barbecue and as always Merlin’s put on a huge spread of meat and salads followed by some delicious desserts.

So it was on to the speeches and Richie who has a great sense of humour started his speech with a build up to replicating Tom Fletcher’s (from McFly) wedding speech but stopped just before he needed to start singing, the relief on Jodie’s face!!

With coffee served on the lawn while the marquee was prepared for the evening the girls decided that it was time to follow that old tradition of ‘throwing the bouquet’ as they gathered it was fun just to watch the sheer determination that each of them had to be the one to catch it! The evening celebrations started with the couple’s first dance and it looked as though the party would carry on into the night.
