Frances and Neil’s Wedding at
Lady St Mary Church and The Priory Hotel, Wareham, Dorset
The day started at the Springfield Hotel in Wareham where Frances and her Bridesmaids were getting ready for the day ahead. The girls were all in good spirit which was quite amazing as the weather was absolutely awful, the rain was torrential and I mean torrential! It looked as though it wasn’t going to let up but nothing was going to dampen Frances and Neil’s wedding day.
As we arrived at the church the rain had eased and we found Neil and his Groomsmen making the final preparations for the ceremony, luckily the rain only interrupted their photos for a brief period. The rain then stopped as if to order for the remainder of the day allowing Frances and Neil to continue with their plans for the day without having to resort to a wet weather plan.
The bridesmaids arrived and the Bride shortly afterwards, Frances looked stunning and was surrounded by beautiful Bridesmaids.
Frances looked quite nervous when she arrived as do most Brides and the walk down the aisle looks a long way even on the arm of your Father. The wedding ceremony was conducted by the lovely Suzie Allen who made the couple feel quite at ease while they made their promises and vows with family and friends looking on.
The newly married couple made their way back up the aisle hoping that the weather was holding out, they weren’t disappointed the rain had cleared and the afternoon was turning out to be fine. A few photos at the church door and it was time to leave for the reception venue which was next door at The Priory Hotel.
The Priory is a small country house accessed through a charming courtyard and is set in pretty cottage gardens on the side of the River Frome with the Purbeck Hills in the distance. The gardens are beautiful and so peaceful and provide a fabulous background for photos of the Bride and Groom.
The drinks reception was held on the hotel lawn during which we took the formal family and friends photos before we slipped away with the Bride and Groom around the gardens.
The wedding breakfast was served in the beamed Abbots Cellar and was followed by the speeches before coffee was served back on the lawn for the guests to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine.
We would like to thank Frances and Neil and their families for their hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed their wedding. We wish them all the very best for their future together.
We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you have enjoyed these images.
