West Bay – ‘stripped bare’

Chiaroscuro (English pronunciation: /kiˌɑːrəˈskjʊəroʊ/; Italian: [ˌkjaroˈskuːro]; Italian for light-dark) in art is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark, usually bold contrasts affecting a whole composition.

A few days R&R in West Bay, Nr Bridport, Dorset. Normally a bustling harbour, but rather different as the approaching Hurricane Abigail did it’s worst on a mid November evening. All images shot on the Fuji XE2. These are SOOC (straight out of camera) with absolutely no processing.
